PV GAS D FIRMLY ENSURES NATURAL GAS SUPPLY FOR CUSTOMERS

In response to information published by certain media outlets regarding the use of gas for public transportation and industrial customers in the Southeast region, PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution Joint Stock Company (PV GAS D) hereby provides the following official statement:

PV GAS D is a subsidiary of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS), the leading gas supplier in Vietnam to industrial consumers with an annual gas consumption exceeding 1 billion Sm³ from both domestic and imported sources. With a nationwide natural gas distribution system and more than 23 years of experience in providing natural gas products and services, PV GAS D has safely and reliably supplied over 13 billion Sm³ of natural gas as fuel to more than 130 industrial and transportation customers, always compliance with its commitments and the terms and conditions of natural gas sales contracts with all customers.

Given the natural decline in domestic gas resources, and following directives from the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, natural gas is prioritized for electricity production annually. If necessary, the amount of gas supplied to other consumers may be reduced to ensure national energy security. Accordingly, to ensure a stable supply, PV GAS D has proactively supplemented their gas supply with imported gas for customers, completing the natural gas supply chain via pipelines, waterways, road transport, and railways, thereby providing integrated energy solutions across the entire territory of Vietnam.

PV GAS D affirms and commits that:

• Ensure sufficient natural gas supply for all customers, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the needs of the parties, and the directives of the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding annual prioritization of gas supply for power generation;
• Stands ready to supply imported natural gas to customers upon demand, ensuring safe and continuous operations.

Since 2024, PV GAS/PV GAS D has implemented an optimized energy solutions package under an integrated business model, offering a diversified portfolio of energy products including natural gas (NG/low pressure gas), CNG, LNG, and LPG, which are mutually substitutable. This provides customers with multiple product options, flexible and stable supply sources, and high-quality energy solutions. PV GAS D strongly reaffirms their commitment to fully meeting the gas demand of all customers.
